No disrespect to Ced at all, but why does his name keep coming up? He chose to move onto another school, he’s producing great numbers at that school as expected. He’s a great kid, but he is not wearing an Iona jersey anymore, so c’est la vie. I think there should be a penalty jar for any time the following irrelevant topics get brought up: - Casimir - Fordham - St John’s - Kevin Willard’s success Please add that grounds for going into the penalty box will include “things will never be the same again now that Coach Grosso has departed!” Honestly, we'll need more time before this is proven or disproven. We're all here saying this team MIGHT need an impact PG, let's see what the staff brings in.

I'll put a quarter in the jar. Ced is an alum. He was a great Gael and always will be a Gael! I'm sick and tired of those who are bashing him because he chose a post-graduate year elsewhere. Ced was always one of my favorites and that hasn't changed.

Love him also and will always remember his contributions.

Leaving when he didn't want to stay and fight for PT like McGill did. Think before you say Casimir did the same thing. Casimir lived up to what was expected from him when he committed to Iona. He stayed here 4 years and earned his degree. There are 2 main themes heading into the MAAC tourney, the 7 game winning streak that led to Iona winning the MAAC and the chance to make history by being the first program to win 4 straight MAAC championships. Breaking news, there is no conversation of a 4th straight championship without Casimir's contributions during his time at Iona. Oh yeah, almost forgot the 2nd item in the Proctor thread you want to start. His Dad posting on here trashing Cluess and Iona. Please, have no idea what your problem with Casimir is, but don't embarrass yourself by comparing him in any way to Proctor. OK, I think I owe a couple of dollars to the jar, where do I send the check

While we are at it, let's do a thread about Iona 1970. We can say what we like or dislike about him. Is he a true Gael or not? We could include the art of composition, reason and subtlety. Let's ask Ced to start the thread.

In almost 60 years, I may have missed two dozen home games.

Iona was obligated to pay for his scholarship because he was injured and needed the surgeries while he was on scholarship at Iona. So that's why you hate the guy? Because he left after missing a year? So his contributions that helped Iona win MAAC championships don't mean anything. Got it. Proctor wouldn't have gotten the time of day at Iona, never mind significant PT. The Iona system for guards relies on 3-point shooting. Proctor is not in the same league as far as perimeter shooting. Proctor is going to need a huge Sr. season to pass Casimir in A/TO ratio and steals.
