OT, so great to hear from you again! Thank God and GuyF for this board. It helped keep my sanity during the past six weeks. (Or did it?) I like your idea of a four local team tournament.

I’m not saying that;Pitino will get a lot of really good recruits but a kid like this would be really tough to get. 81 There will always be 'He will be higher teams and players' ...There are over 350 teams in Div 1...In my time I have seen numerous players go higher and quite few of those never make it...Where would JEFF RULAND land today...Thats the way it is and thats the way I like it...Should we Socilize College basketball... See how long that would last..... IONA has more then forefilled my COLLEGE BASKETBALL lust over the past 70 PLUS years but I grew up in a generation much easily satisfied.... An now Lets make OT happy.....a 2 Day tourney with ST.JOHNS, SETON HALL, HOFSTRA AND IONA. Ib future yeara We can expand from there... Glad to hear you are okay OT. Curious if everyone in the assisted living center where you live are doing well? Have there been any covid cases?

Surprised to hear that SJU lost out on Ray Salnave, who is going to DePaul.

Surprised to hear that SJU lost out on Ray Salnave, who is going to DePaul. He was only a fallback in the event that LJ Figueroa (14.5 points per game) did not return after testing the draft waters.

Siena loses Don Carey to transfer. Carey figured to play 30 min per game for the Saints at the 2.
Is Iona the favorite?

I thought we would win the league running away last year. Extremely hard to predict, lots of underclassmen and new faces. Based upon having Coach Stanley and Coach Pitino, I would definitely expect us in the top 3 of the Maac this year(If there is a, this year)

After losing Carey Siena has 2 very good players returning. The rest of the roster from last year is nothing that will keep opposing coaches up at night. Like us they'll be relying heavily on their incoming class. I certainly like our incoming recruits and along with Pitino I think we just moved up a bit closer to the Saints. Have we surpassed them? Who knows but I like our chances a little more now.
