Former Iona recruit, Frankie Policelli, is leaving Dayton. he was a 3-star out of Long Island Lutheran and the New York Jayhawks AAU program. A 6'8" F who this season averaged 0.9 points in 4.8 minutes per game. He scored a season-high eight points in 19 minutes against Fordham on Jan. 26. He did not appear in either postseason game against Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament or Colorado in the NIT. He would be a very good MAAC player. Might not be able to use a scholly on some one not playing We still need a big and a pg

Maybe the kid will go to his dad's school or maybe they would consider paying his way one year at Iona while he sits in residence.

Honor leaving FU virtually assures the end of JN's career at Fordham after this season. I hate Fordham but something about this just bothers me. Things have gotten so bad at STJ that I might be identifying with Fordham? Yikes!

Things have gotten so bad at STJ that I might be identifying with Fordham? Yikes! Taking the head coaching job at Fordham virtually ensured the end of JN’s coaching career in the first place.

I meant to say his career at Fordham. I changed it. They're going to be terrible next year.

JN should have been fired immediately after the season. They could have started their rebuild a year earlier. Would they have picked the right guy this time? Fordham hiring issues were vetted above. All valid. Top that with an inept administration. Absent and uncaring.
I’m proud of our administration. It was ready for St.John’s poaching Cluess. If St. John’s didn’t know about the buy out how sad it is for them. Want it to be true because - given our current basketball relationship with them - and required or not, they should have reached out to Iona before any contact with Cluess (if they did). I want to believe that this is arrogance on their part. They look dumb.
If Looie has been calling the shots for years in his usual backdoor politics way as some folks allege, then he would be responsibie for the morphing of the Johnnies into an A-10 type mid major. Again I want this to be true.
Sorry Rekson. I love you bro’.

Proctor commits to Purdue. Haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but Siena's Jalen Pickett has put his name into the NBA draft. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.
Still very quiet as far as Isaiah Washington is concerned, not seen any reports linking him to any schools. Iona one of many schools, including Siena who he took a unofficial visit, linked to Langford from Providence. Iona also recruiting kareem South, though he is projected to go to a HM. Big recruiting weekend coming up
