I just did some research and looks like this guy has recently updated his power ratings. If this is accurate, on the road our power rating is about 7 points better than LaSalle, but I would guess the money would then be too strong for Lasalle, so I will say we will be 4 or so point favorites. sonnymoorepowerratings.com/m-basket.htmWho makes up the threads for our next opponent? Time to start the Lasalle one.

Last thing I’ll say about the schedule and then the team needs our full support and positive energy to make this a special season.
1. We have the 340th ranked SOS. 2. We have two BELOW the minimum amount of games by NCAA standards (27 instead of 29). 3. We play 3 games in 5 weeks before starting conference play. Terrible for chemistry and rhythm purposes ahead of MAAC play.
For all of the incredible strides and accomplishments the staff has made for the MBB program, this is a dreadful outcome at the absolute worst time — when we have a chance to be very relevant nationally. Hopefully lessons are learned and we don’t let this happen again next year.
Now let’s go kick some ass and get ready for the season!

Agree 1000%, but we haven't heard anything from the school/Coach/staff in regards to this. Maybe this is the way they intend to schedule going forward. It is a historically terrible schedule, from a fans viewpoint, but the staff had 7 months to put this together and this is what they decided to do. I personally think it is a big mistake, and I would love to hear their explanation. I thought with the fund raising and the grand opening of the remodeled gym, the school would try to get a couple of big home games. (my idea of realistic "big games" Army, Fordham, Umass, Northeastern, Buffalo, Detroit etc. ). Only thing I can think of is that Cluess wants an NCAA win, and believes a play in game matchup, (16/16) in the BIG TOURNEY is the best option. Total guess, but it's the only explanation that makes sense. The other explanation would be 7 months of ineptitude and neglect, sure hope its not that.

Or 7 months of fear by opposing coaches.

Mistakes were made that I do not anticipate will be made next year. They know the sked is not up to snuff.

Or 7 months of fear by opposing coaches. LOL. If you believe this then you are pretty gullible.

On the flip side maybe the lighter load will cut down on injuries and travel exhaustion. Who knows?

[/quote I Posted a few days ago that we would be between 6 and 8 point favorite....Many thought this was out of line and that the line would be much lower in favor of LASALLE...This group IMO were those that remember the LASALLE of the past...Of late they have dropped Considerably...They won but 12 games last year and lost 20...They are a young group that needs at least another year of seasoning... IMO the line will fall between 6-8 IONA.....OT

I'll guarantee the line won't be anywhere near that.
