FF won today. Even though they are 2-6 they havent been really blown out by anyone other than Maryland, who they played tough into the 2nd half. I think their play and schdule might have them more ready for conf play than most. Guess we will see. Also must be nice to have played 8 games on Dec 1st.

Fairfield beats Texas A&M 67-62 in Orlando tournament. Taliaferro had 34 points, shooting 10-13 from three. Fairfield played well in Orlando. Only 2-6 but have been in just about every game. They will be a tough MAAC game.
Really believe the MAAC will be a grind this season. As far as Siena, they are in a very difficult spot. As usual their fan base over hyped their freshman recruits as well as the overall talent on the team. Pickett getting disciplined in 2 of the first 6 games is not good. Noticed on twitter he's retweeting negative comments about him after being benched yesterday. That's never a good look. Looking forward to the UCONN game this week.

Didn't Pickett declare for the NBA draft during the off season, without hiring an agent? Guessing, without knowing the issue or seeing any of their games, he's out to prove he should be playing at a higher level. Not necessarily good for the team.

Didn't Pickett declare for the NBA draft during the off season, without hiring an agent? Guessing, without knowing the issue or seeing any of their games, he's out to prove he should be playing at a higher level. Not necessarily good for the team. Yes he did. He was invited to a G-League camp, where a few of those players were then invited to the NBA camp. He was exposed as being nowhere near a NBA prospect. Last season he was Siena basketball, surrounded by a bunch of role type players that never did anything at the D1 level. This season he now has Carey and Burns eligible, 2 guys that don't look at Pickett as being a higher level player, but their equal. Watching their games it's obvious the chemistry is not there as well as Pickett looking uncomfortable playing a different system and not dominating the ball. Siena basketball is in a very strange position. Coach Carm gave up on the '19 recruiting class and looked ahead to the '20 class, leaving 2 open scholarships. My opinion you should never look ahead, but try to load up and win now. From a few coaches I know the consensus is that Pickett is gone after this season. Possibility of transferring to a higher level, but most likely to make some money overseas. Losing Burns as well, Siena may be facing a rebuild for quite a few years.

Looks like Pickett was benched in Siena’s loss. If anyone needs a good laugh head over and take a peek at that Ledge that many of their fans are on. At least their ledge is not boring. 🤔

Guess a broken clock can be right 3x in 1 day. Maac 3-0 today.

Guess a broken clock can be right 3x in 1 day. Maac 3-0 today. Although still bad, the maac at least seems like it is slightly better than last year.

Manhattan gave Fordham its first home loss, 54-53 in OT. Reynolds hit a corner three with 3.4 seconds left to win it. An exciting game even though neither team shoots very well. Both teams put up the following: FG-In the low thirties. 3Pt-In the low twenties. FT-In the mid fifties.
Kansas about 10 point favorites over Colorado, tonight. Game is at KU.
