Marist plays Rider tomorrow in an early season MAAC conference game. I think Siena also plays Canisius next week. Any idea why there are two games scheduled before the conference slate is supposed to begin?

Quinnipiac beats Maine by 20 on the road. Any road win is a good win. Quinnipiac, unlike us, put some thought and effort into their non-conference schedule. They hosted a 3 game ,in three days, tourney. Good practice for the MAAC tourney, AND they are playing in a 2 game mini-tourney in Atlantic city. They will gain some familiarity with that court, can only help them come March.

One would have to think that losing Eric Eaton in August threw a major monkey wrench into Iona's scheduling process for 2019-20.

Think it went beyond that. Can’t happen again. I know we've said it ad nauseum, but it's absurd that we had 11 days between Kennesaw & UConn, 13 days between UConn & Princeton, 12 days between Princeton & Colorado, and 5 days between Colorado & SPU. That's 4 games in 41 days. We're the fans--imagine how the players feel.(Could have made it even worse by leaving out SPU: 3 games in 36 days)

Super I believe joebirds qualification is that the team must be trailing when the shot is released, buzzers are blaring and shot goes in, being the final play of the game.

I agree, of course it can. Would u believe we are trying to host another tournament at Iona next year on 11/21 11/22/ 11/23?? (Of course this will be scrapped because lack of intere$t) Here we go again. I get the feeling that the staff will not schedule any games until they get their 3 large $guarantee games scheduled. I assume the # is around 225K. I also get a sense that their is not a clear scheduling philosophy and their is no accountability or not a designated competent coach in charge of that task.

NOW is the time to get things scheduled for next year. Makes me wonder about what's going on with recruiting.

This should have been taken care of before eaton left and Cluess got sick Some teams are almost finished with next year
