Watched some of the Rider game, and believe I heard the announcers say that Vaughn fouled out relatively early in the game. Probably didn't make much of a difference.

Since I don't read him on Twitter, I wonder if there is any Zach Brazziler (Sp?) news. Haven't read much about him, lately.

Since I don't read him on Twitter, I wonder if there is any Zach Brazziler (Sp?) news. Haven't read much about him, lately. He's covering St Johns, which is doing the same thing it does every year. It schedules an absolute garbage OOC and runs up a great record and we hear how the program is turning the corner and the coach is wonderful, and then they get to the Big East and do absolutely nothing. I don't now if this guy will eventually turn them into a winner, but I wouldn't bet on it--and I love to see them crapping the bed every year.

Shaheen Holloway is doing a great job at SPU. They seem to play about a dozen guys every game, and somehow it works. Banks, who beat us, missed a game tying three with four seconds left. So you could say that game went down to the wire. They are a young team and should get even better.

Should have added that Siena didn't have their center, Burns, last night.

None of these MAAC results surprise me anymore. There's just so much mediocrity, and that's giving too much credit. The conference is just flat-out really bad. Good for Iona's drive for five but the long-term health of the conference ... dreary.
