What is impressive about SPU is that they seem to have a different high scorer in every game.

Props to the Stags. Game showed how wide open the League is. I was watching the game and it ended much like our SPU game, with a FF player (Benning I believe) going the length of the court for a winning layup with .2 seconds left.

That sounds eerily like Fairfield's A.J. Wynder driving the length of the court for a layup that beat Iona in the MAAC championship game at the Meadowlands about 35 years ago. Iona's Alvin Lott attempted a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the win. I swear that ball was two-thirds down when it popped back out. I considered driving off the GW on my way home.

nc, painful memories, but exciting times. P.S. If you had driven off the GW, you still would have had to pay the toll. Is that what kept you from doing it?

It was more like I was driving my father's Olds Cutlass and he would have been super PO'd if I even got a scratch on it. 😀 I wish I had not remembered that game because now I can't stop remembering it. Most painful Iona loss I can think of. I don't start threads but that could be one. ... Worst Iona loss ever.

Still painful 22 years later.

BYU 12 2. Syracuse 98 3. Gtown 80 4. Loyola 85 5. Virginia 84 After that there are many up there: Fordham 83, Ole Miss 01, Fairfield 87, Penn 79, several others warrant consideration, feel like I am forgetting a big one.
