Geez, I take 1 day off from the board and everything falls apart!
I was in Maine at my son's football game or else I would have made the trip. But you cannot kill the fans too much for not being there en masse.
Followed the last 10 min and OT via live stats.
First off: hoping Cluess is OK and will be back soon. I'm sure no one wanted him on that bench today more than himself! Lots of pressure on the assistants now. And maybe it's now a good thing we don't have a ton of OOC games.
Looking at the box, it just looks like the offense had a rough day. More turnovers than assists and really poor shooting. Could be a product of not having Cluess at practices. Give it time. Too many 3s tried and not enough driving to the hoop. When there's a lid on the basket you gotta get to the line.
Looks like the defense really locked things down in the second half and OT. Believe me, if we play D like that, we will win a ton of games.
Perez will bounce back. Just a rough day. Jelly will score more.
Summary: the game was a pickem and without Cluess we hit the expected line in regulation, says a lot about the kids. If Jelly doesn't foul out, perhaps the OT would have been better.
Need to find a way to win the Ohio game with or without Cluess or this could spiral quickly.

Yea, there's lots of things you can do, cheer hard, wear the teams colors, give a pep talk, all good, but i'll take a bunch of points over all of that. This team has plenty of scoring options — EJ, Gist, Agee, etc. Most important role Jelly can play is to be a safe and smart conductor of the offense, reduce turnovers, find the open man, and play tough defense. +1

Tough way to lose after coming all the way back. They had the momentum heading into that ot but let it get away throwing up brick after brick - those missed free throws by Perez were particularly bitter - he just doesn't shoot that bad. Would have like to have seen Jelly drive to the hoop more. He seemed so effective getting to the basket virtually at will in the two games I saw him play. With the exception of Agee, they played like garbage. The talent is there, all is fixable. No need to head for the ledge. Get well TC. I thi k jelly played good but u r comparing today to a practice and d3 game and u think he should have got to the basket at the same rate, really? For a guy who gets off picking on everyone on this board, you think jelly played good? What game were you watching?? Im hoping for better games from him, but he was non-existent on offense.

Just a suggestion. I'm sure the Athletic Admin knows whether TC will be back in the near term, or whether his health will keep him out for an extended period of time. And if the answer is that it will be a while before we see him on the bench, should we bring in an experienced/retired "bench" coach to help Coach Arnold, who is now coaching with a short handed staff?

As frustrated as everyone else with this loss after such a great comeback from a 21 point deficit. Have too much to say, but only want to point out that if one of the 48 missed shots had been made, we'd be fawning over a great OOC win on the road over an A10 team. Second half defense was awesome overall. TC absence for 2 weeks can't be overestimated.

Last time we won our first road/neutral game of the season was 2009.

Last time we won our first road/neutral game of the season was 2009. So 9 years! Says a lot about the makeup of our teams and the game experience they have to get under their belts before they begin to jell. Also, maybe criteria those in Vegas could be considering when they formulate their early season spreads 😜

Guy, I'm assuming that you have some inside info that TC will be back soon. Great news.

An overtime loss to an A10 team on their home floor without our coach(for last 2 weeks). That’s all this was. Like deja vu here
