I watched the game on espn3 Replay. Agee played well, Jelly looked more confident out there. Getting 2 wins down there puts us back in the right direction. Realistically if we get 1 more non conference win and get the team to Gel, I would be thrilled. The absence of Coach Cluess and No Nickolic and Risto are concerns going forward. There is enough talent on this squad to do well in the Maac.

The MAAC is loaded with bad teams and we are defending well and will only get better offensively.

thehat, I'm concerned about Risto. As a soph, he's a big part of our future, and his play down the stretch, last season, imo, showed his potential. Hopefully, he'll heal up and return soon.

Finally got a chance to watch the game tonight on replay. Van Eyke seems like he might be my new fav player. Dude can ball and brings a lot of fire to the game. Thiam has a pretty smooth stroke from 3, but doesnt look like he plays too much like a big man. Overall they looked relaxed after the Win vs Stetson. Going to need 3s to fall vs Uconn to stay competitive, so hopefully this weekend brought the team some confidence.

From the previous games I've watched when Thiam plays, I don't think his outside game is the problem. I think his biggest problem is on the defensive side of the ball down low. That last game against K state was hard to watch with him in the game. He couldn't get a rebound and was consistently out of place in the zone. At least Agee does a great job being in position for a rebound/boxing out/help defense. Thiam on the other hand was consistently in the wrong positions to the point where he was playing behind defenders on a constant basis because he was late in rotations.

Sometimes when I see guys like this I wonder who coached them previously.

To be fair, every defensive system is different, and Thiam isn't the first kid to come here and look lost. Give him time.
