Nothing to add that hasn’t already been said.
I vastly overrated this team’s potential. Even with coach on the floor this team is simply not as good as hyped. We are a competitive top third MAAC team this year and nothing more.
The OOC schedule was a total disaster. At the bare minimum it was a slap in the face to the fan base and hurt the players by prohibiting them from getting into any flow or rhythm early in the season.
Gist and Agee are our only two reliable players right now IMO. EJ is a hell of a player, but he’s not stepping into the lead role like I suspected he would in his senior season.

Not only were they clueless, they were cluessless and that could help explain the clueless if that makes any sense. 😃 Didn't take you long! I had to Super. You set it up. 😃

Have to hand it to Princeton. They took all the turnovers we gave them and capitalized on them. But no way we should have lost to that team based on talent we had on the floor. Iona 05 said that EJ wasn’t assuming a leadership role. I think he is doing everything he can in spite of the play of his teammates. He is the only player even approaching a “go to guy”. On one play he slipped a double team along the baseline and beat the weak side help coming across for a layup. He has incredible body control and finishes drives. We probably only go as far as he takes us.

I think he hit 44% as a frosh, has never come close to that since. He was very good against UCONN as well.

Two things really stood out in the last 10 minutes of the game. The incredibly stupid turnovers, and how we left their 3 point shooters alone for one open shot after another.

IMO he has been too passive in big moments this year, and hasn’t assumed an alpha role like our previous senior stars have. With guys like AJ, McGill and Washington it seemed like they always found a way to make a big shot to extend a run or to stop the other team’s run from getting out of control. EJ is the senior leader on the team and one of our most talented players. Would like to see him be more assertive. To me it feels like Agee and Gist are our “go to” guys right now.

Just a guess, but I think that Risto was held out because of his injury. I couldn't tell from watching it on TV, but I didn't see McNeill, Cashaw or Ortale. Were they on the bench? I saw Cashaw but not the other 2

Why coaching matters. In yesterday's game, our high scorer, Asante Gist scored at the 8:33 mark to put us up, 60-49. The next time he got a shot, we were down two with 21 seconds remaining. He hit a jumper to tie the game (though the scoreboard first put up a three and a 74-73 Iona lead). Coaching matters.

Second half of the you tube link on this tweet mentions 6 guys had flu this week and then about 1 minute of talk about cluess being in contact with them everyday.

Couple of things: Crawford & Gist--45 minutes--can't keep that up Thought I saw Arnold check his phone prior to time out Shot 25% from 3--worrisome Didn't check, but Princeton may have only had the lead for 3 minutes, including its largest lead of 4 at the end
