Don’t they get these kids flu shots? Apparently we don’t like flu shots or scheduling OOC games/

Between not having Cluess on the bench and the horrific schedule I just can't get a feel on this team and season so far. Obviously not having Cluess coaching has taken a major negative impact, but the players just have not played well. With three players (Gist, Agee and Crawford) who are preseason All-Maac players and part of a MAAC championship, you would think they would have been able to win at least one of the Princeton, Ohio or LaSalle game. The truth is only Agee is playing up to preseason expectations, and even that can be questioned to a point because of his 26 turnovers with 17 of those coming in the three mentioned losses. I fall into the group that Crawford is not playing up to expectations. All of his stats are lower than last season so far. Gist has shown signs of breaking out but has been inconsistent. IW has been a disappointment so far. While his defense has been better than expected, his A/TO ratio and decision making on the court has not been close to what I expected.
As mentioned by others the bench has not contributed. Have no idea what happened to Perez but he really needs to regain last year's form, while Ross needs to pick up his three point shooting. The biggest mystery has been McNeil. While I didn't agree with others that he would be a starter, I thought he would be a solid rotation player. The fact he has only played 9 minutes in 2 games is a problem.
Even with all of this negativity so far, the bottom line is two OT losses and a home loss where it was a 1 point game with about 5 minutes remaining. The other loss was a 1 point game at the half at a very good UCONN team. Even with the loss of Cluess, Iona is just a couple plays away from being 4-2. I just don't believe Iona will continue to shoot 28% from three. Too much history from the current roster that the poor shooting will continue. While I am as disappointed as everyone as far as how the season has started, I still have hope to compete for the MAAC championship. I think the MAAC will be tougher than most think. Rider has clearly played their way to be labeled the clear favorite but I just don't see them "tearing through" the MAAC, and believe the MAAC is "wide open".

Since I wasn't at the game, for those who did attend, how does the Barclay's Center compare to MSG?

Since I wasn't at the game, for those who did attend, how does the Barclay's Center compare to MSG? Having been a witness first hand I can report that both floors have hardwood, the backboards are glass and the three point lines appeared to be the same length.

As a physical facility, I think it is nicer, wide spacious concourse, great sight lines. But hard to compete with MSG’s aura. Every time Iona plays in a big arena in New York, I flashback to the Louisville game in the Valvano era. In those days, we helped fill the Garden. That was a special night. But I also remember in my student days, getting blown out by Duquesne in the Garden. I remember a smart as NBC announcer on the late news saying something like Duequense 84, Iona 37. That’s right folks 37. That one still hurts!
