thehat, I have to disagree about Pat Lyons, and I don;t know why he hasn't scheduled us. But I believe he is a supporter of our HOF golf outing and dinner.

Every week Iona goes 1-1 they survive to fight another week in hopes of finishing top 5. I have a bad feeling this weekend brings that dreaded 0-2 though.

You are probably right about Lyons, because I believe we have scheduled the Lady Pirates in Hoops. The men's team is another story. I would think that is Willard's call.

There's more to it than simply Willard/Lyons. Don't think we will play Seton Hall any time soon.

How does this Siena team compare to last year's team, including the coaches? teams change, but I assume they still have that delusional fan base? Ahem, I'll just leave this here This years team as good as 98 Not sure there are many Siena fans that think Siena belongs in A10 or higher- 10 years of mediocrity will do that to a fan base. Thinking of making the drive down Friday, I assume Siena will have 100/150 fans there-- its been a while since I've driven down, Beechmont still open?

Save yourself the trip, Iona doesn't have a head coach and we are playing like it and Siena is 0-9 on the road, so no delusion here, your probably in for a low quality stinker.

If Gist and Crawford are not available on Friday night, not sure we have anyone on the bench who can Step in and pickup the scoring in their absence. We better get a good defensive outing if we are to stay in the game. The Instagram picture I saw showed Gist in a hospital bed with tubes up his nose. I would call him doubtful. No clue on Crawford. Iona is not what you would call transparent.

My guess is that Crawford will play and Gist won't.

My guess is that Crawford will play and Gist won't. Mark Singelais, who covers Siena, tweeted yesterday that Crawford is expected to play. Hopefully he is close to 100%. Obviously Gist will not play. The other player to watch for is Van Eyck, who was also injured in the Monmouth game. Without Gist Iona is down to 10 scholarship players. Time for all of the hyped depth to man up.

Crawford is having back trouble so it will depend how he feels that day, His father drove 1.5 hrs and brought friends Sunday, do you think he knew his son wasn't playing?

That's why Singelais reported he was told by a official from Iona that Crawford is "EXPECTED" to play, not guaranteed to play.

CBS Sports has the game as Pickem, with a 147 over/under.
