Third game I’ve been to, exhibition, Quinny, today. Gaëls 3-0 and blowouts. Again, don’t know what you guys have been bitching about. Haven’t seen any other games. We insist that you go to every remaining game. No excuses! Maybe the team and Arnold are finally figuring things out. They sure played that way. Ross and Van E stepping up their play makes a huge difference. … and IW

Nice win! Everyone contributed. Nice to see Ross in the zone draining those 3’s. Really hope Agee takes more of those 3’s when he’s open. He shoots 40% from deep and can make those. Glad Perez made a three to snap his cold streak. Puzzled no Risto or Mo. Thought one or both could help sub when Ross and EJ got into foul trouble. Cashaw very good ball handling and defense. Nik helpful on the boards but at times players easily get around him based on his slow footwork in the paint. Need to keep building on the positive momentum and I’m hopeful the players who log major minutes, do not burn out. Said this the other night. The rotation will be the core 5 the rest of the way, with a dash of others as needed. We're not going 9-11 deep any more.

Incredible turnaround from last week. Guys playing as expected. Van Eyck played very well this weekend, just what his video and JUCO stats suggested. 11 rebounds 2 steals 2 assists, with solid defense. played D on Taliaferro most of the game holding him to 1-7 from three. Have to assume Thiam was out injured all week. Risto was out there warming up and stretching so have no idea what the story is with him, just amazing he didn't get in if not injured. I get the entire shortening the rotation at this time of the year, but will need some contribution from the bench. What a great weekend, didn't see this coming You won't see much of Risto or Thiam the rest of the way.

With that said, are you concerned that the core 5 will experience burnout or excess fatigue due to playing 36-40 mins per game? I know this has been the pattern of prior Iona teams but I view this squad as a more “by committee” type team.

Taking a quick look, Manhattan is pretty much a must win to stay out of the PIG. IW is really interesting. With all of the hype that surrounds him as well as the crazy following with 700K followers on IG and Twitter, he is so calm on the court. You rarely see flexing after a tough layup or throwing up the three fingers after a made three. He just puts his head down and plays defense. I like that..lol
