Didn’t feel like we had a set game plan today, like we did against Manhattan. Wonder if it was just better D on Marist’s part that took away the plan.
Loved the 2nd half adjustments on D.
Refs were the worst of the year. Made phantom calls, missed obvious ones.
We’ll take the win. Don’t know what to expect against Siena and Rider without Nik or Dylan.

No idea the severity of Van Eyck's injury. No idea about Gist or Nikso, either. It's imperative to get at least one of them back I think. There's no depth now. Depth was considered a strength at the start. Maybe the poor fortune regarding injuries steels the desire of the rest? Hopefully.

Lucky to get out of there with a win after a terrible first half where we reverted back to bad Iona. Looks like they must have had to pop Van Eyk's shoulder back in, that would be better than a break but who knows if any damage was done, we probably can't win this without him. After watching today not sure you can say we really are back, still a work in progress. Nice to see Risto contribute, would help if Gist can return, we need another 3 point shooter. Refs today were as bad as it gets, some terrible calls both way. Hard to watch when its like that, every play you are not sure what they are going to call. Hard to expect a win Wednesday but that would be a big one to get back in the race and it helped that Monmouth lost today. Joe, my take: Monmouth loses at Niagara--our 2 losses to them will hurt in final standings. Could be tied for 5th place by this evening. See your side, could go either way, I’m still being greedy looking for run to first place like last year. Need to be a game above Monmouth to do that.

Energy level much better second half, especially on D, fueled the O to get more aggressive and spend the day on the line.
Siena will be tough especially without Van Eyck, presumably. Risto solid today but best frontcourt in the league awaits.

The 2 games given away to Niagara and SPU are going to make top 5 very difficult

One thing I haven’t seen posted yet this year is how quiet, down to earth and likable Isaiah Washington is. He is not what I expected at all, he’s easy to root for and always is giving 100%. He is the reason we won today and one of the main reasons we have made this surge.

Van Eyck looks like he’s out with a dislocated shoulder. Lucky if we get him back before reg season ends

If Washington drives to the hoop good things happen for us

Refs getting worse each game disgrace today. In the ACC or any other power 5 conference they would never call those fouls but HEY THIS IS THE MAAC

Yeah, just totally forcing shots. Zero movement on offense, too much one on one play on offense. Getting beat on boards. Thiam brings nothing to the table. I guess iona bball is back Ass
