Four games to go. Buffalo trip followed by Senior Night against Quinnipiac and then the finale at SPU. Best guess is 3-1, but wouldn’t be surprised at all if we run the table. Here’s best guess on final standings looking at everyone else’s remaining schedules:
3-1 Scenario: Monmouth (13-7) Siena (12-8) Rider (12-8) SPU (12-8) Iona (11-9) Manhattan (10-10) Quinnipiac (10-10) Niagara (10-10) Fairfield (8-12) Marist (7-13) Canisius (5-15)
4-0 Scenario: Monmouth (13-7) Siena (12-8) Iona (12-8) Rider (12-8) SPU (12-8) Manhattan (10-10) Quinnipiac (10-10) Niagara (10-10) Fairfield (8-12) Marist (7-13) Canisius (5-15)
So, we are looking good for a 3 seed if we run the table. I think we are squarely in the 4/5 game if we go 3-1. Of course, lots of this will come down to other results and tiebreakers, but these are best guesses above.

Agree with the above. Top 3 would be sick considering we were in last like 3 weeks ago. No difference between 4 and 5 of course. That has to be a worst case scenario.
Couple notes:
- We are 0-5 vs the top 3. Bodes well if you believe in the 3rd meeting theory. At the same time, need to beat SPU to prove we can beat the conference's best.
- If we win out, amazingly we finish above .500 overall at 14-13. Would guarantee a non-losing season.

More importantly to our prospects, can we expect Van Eyk, Gist, and/or Nic back?

Reading the above, and also the MAAC Board, I come away surprised about the amount of "love" that SPU receives, or doesn't receive. They now have five losses with four games to go, and both of 05's scenarios have them losing three of their final four games. Many point out that they are young, and they are, but through their first 16 games, they proved that they're also pretty good.

We are practically eliminated from top 3, we lose tie breaker with all of them. Is it realistic for every team to go 2-3 , I hope so but don't see it happening

Also, we had a discussion in the chat re scoreboard watching and whether it's too early. Given how the results benefitted us last night, I'd say no LOL.
Tomorrow's a mixed bag, we get to watch 5 MAAC games and we are in none of them! In terms of who to root for, it depends on your goals. If you're feeling it and are thinking top 3, you're looking for those top teams to stumble but at the risk of those right behind us to move up. If you are just happy to secure a top 5 spot, you root for those teams we just passed to keep losing, though we would say farewell to any shot of the top 3.
Siena at Fairfield Canisius at Manhattan Niagara at Marist Quinny at Monmouth Rider at St Peters
Clearly going for Canisius, Marist and Quinny. The other 2 are based on perspective. A Stags win keeps them on our tail, but we swept them. And it would be nice for Siena to continue to suck on the road. We've also swept Rider and pass them just by tying them (barring a 3 way tie), but St Peters is rolling lately and it would be good to see them start to show their youth. So, I am going to root for Fairfield, and I'm kinda torn on the other so I won't root for either LOL.

Year in, year out, whacky stuff happens in the MAAC. You just don't know what's gonna happen.

It makes my hair hurt trying to figure out all the scenarios where teams will finish.
I follow Bob Uecker's approach to catching a knuckle ball... wait for it to stop rolling and then pick it up.

We will need all of these players. Gist would be beneficial as he is a versatile player who could spell Jelly and Ross if they encounter fatigue/foul trouble.

In our home meeting against St. Peters, Holloway was working the refs over like a two bit whore on 42nd St.

Still have to respect Rider as teams in our conference with seniors typically do well in tourney.
