Jaden, when it comes to MAAC coverage, nobody does it better. Thanks.

Jaden, when it comes to MAAC coverage, nobody does it better. Thanks. Ditto! Agree, and we will miss him when the Maac tourney conflicts with the Big East this year due to Ensor selling his and the league's soul for a some extra guarenteed money from AC. You have to wonder if Ensor decision is based on being financially compensated for the amount of money the tourney generates. In the long run despite some better upfront money, he is killing the Maac by having it lost behind all the major tourneys playing at the same time. Just hope in three years after the Maac learns how dumb of a move this was, that ESPN will let them get their time slot back on Monday night at another site? I do agree AC is a better destination site, and it has the chance to bring a bigger championship crowd, but those 2 factor do not outweigh losing the Monday night prime time slot, and the minimal attendance the early rounds will get during the week (Tues-Thurs).

Agreed. What I will miss is for a week after winning the MAAC championship we would have Cluess on the radio multiple days talking Iona hoops as well as articles about Iona. The other entertaining part I will miss is following the guys on here posting about other LM/MM conferences and their tournaments and who to root for to possibly help Iona's seed. I stayed up late watching and rooting for teams I never heard of. All part of the excitement that will no longer be there

The 6 days of waiting for Selection Sunday was awesome, and you make a huge point on the publicity Cluess would generate for those 6 days. It is not just Monday night we are losing but the next 6 days. How many times is it shown who has earned a bid already, countless times you would see and hear Iona's name over those 6 days. That was part of the magic of Monday night!

The one thing we're all forgetting is we have to win the tournament before we lament not having 5 or 6 days to bask in the glory. As every coach and fan warns: one game at a time.

Yes of course, but I am saying this will be the case for whomever wins it. There will be very little pre selection show publicity, less than 24 hours, and hidden behind many other conferences.

I’ll be there Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. After that, you’re gonna have to root for Seton Hall to go down so I can come back Friday and Saturday.

And thank you all, as always, for the kind words. Those mean more than you’ll know.

And the short turnaround pretty much eliminates any MAAC program from organizing a Selection Sunday party for the team and its fans.

I would be doing that anyway!
