Siena fans hoping for the same? ? One way to keep Iona streak alive. MAAC is considering canceling the tournament. If they do, Iona will go the NCAA's, since we are the MAAC Champion, until someone knocks us off.

As of Tuesday evening, the NCAA said it was still assessing how the novel coronavirus might impact the way in which it conducts its men's and women's basketball tournaments. Public health officials and experts, however, believe it would be unwise to hold the event with fans in the stands, at the very least. "We would recommend that there not be large crowds," Dr. Anthony Fauci of the U.S. National Institutes of Health testified on Capitol Hill on Wednesday morning, when asked specifically about sporting events like the NCAA tournament and the NBA. "If that means not having any people in the audience ... so be it. But as a public health official, anything that has large crowds is something that would give a risk to spread." www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaab/tourney/2020/03/11/coronavirus-ncaa-tournament-should-played-without-fans-present/5020741002/The Big West and MAC said their tournaments would be held without fans. And the ACC, SEC, Big 12 and Pac-12 decided to move forward as usual, playing in arenas with fans present.

Ensor says game on for tonight but did not commit beyond tonight. So these games this evening might be the last to be attended for the season.
Starting to look more and more like there might not even be an NCAA Tournament. So let's go win this friggin thing.

Lots of friends and family are Dayton alums (I myself am a Flyer fan after the Gaels)... they finally have THAT year and this happens.
Really sucks for them.

Yes, I have a friends kid on the women's team and my Bro-in-law is an alumni. Live pretty close to Dayton. The community has been through so much this last year and this was a shining light for them and now it is being taken away. Sucks, but there is really nothing that can be done.

The last couple days have been crazy. We got some sad new about Coach Cluess on Friday, followed by some amazingly exciting news with Coach Pitino on Saturday. Today we find out all NYC schools along with Bars and Restaurants are closing for the near future (along with many other counties following suit).
Just want to wish everyone good health over the next few weeks. It's going to be strange and we have no sports to distract us from real world problems. I'll continue to look to this board for entertainment and banter with all of you.
