Keep the faith. Hopefully we can finish strong! Go Gaels! HAVE to win this game for confidence. If Niagara loses as well to Canisius, great, we get a bye. If not, we play canisius in the 7/10 game I believe. Then probably SPU again the next night, with the next day off on the line along with a SemiFinal spot. Either road is fine i think, but this game needs to be a W.

I'd say my usual "play D and good things will happen", but we played pretty good D last night and still lost because the offense went back to what we were doing early in the year with a ton of one on one ball. But St Peters is not a good offensive team--we need to shut them down, then get back to what we had been doing, moving the ball and putting our guys in the right positions to score rather than relying on creating off the dribble.
No idea what to expect. I called last night perfectly, I said in that thread that it wasn't going to be a laugher and we didn't know what lingering effect Niagara would have. Now we're riding two straight losses and are truly up against it tomorrow. I agree that this falls under must-win. PIG teams don't win the MAAC tourney, plain and simple. Let's at least give ourselves a chance to get out of it with a win tomorrow, or I fear our stay in AC will be brief.

If it wasn’t for our lack of depth I’d say we’re better off in the 7/10 slot and then taking our chances against the 2 seed with a day of rest if we win that game. However with such a thin bench I just don’t see how we can win 4 games in 5 days, so I suppose our best bet is to hope we get the 5 seed.

There's an excellent story about Holloway and Willard on zagsblog. I would have posted a link here but thought that may be a copyright infringement. Also, full disclosure, I don't know how to do that.

Thinking more about it, I feel good about tomorrow. Backs are against the wall, and they will respond.

So can someone simplify the seeding impact combinations for us tonight?
We win and Niagara loses we finish 5th
We win and Niagara wins we finish 7th?
We lose and Manhattan loses we finish what?
We lose and Manhattan wins we finish what?

What I'm hoping for in tonight's game: 1. Ross has at least a dozen FG attempts. 2. Agee plays primarily in the low post rather than on the perimeter. Just think he's more effective down low and that it will cut down on his TO's. 3. Don't know if it's possible, but I am hoping that we don't give St. Peter's a bunch of open three's. 4. Team shows a lot of hustle. Win or lose.

Power ratings consider Canisius better than Niagara which is simply wrong.

Not sure where to post this but just read Ed Ingles passed away. Loved him on the Iona broadcasts, a true professional!
