Three of ST. Pete's forwards Ndefo and the Drame twins were 14-18 from the floor with 10 OFFENSIVE rebounds.

Lots of hot takes out here. Season's been a throwaway since October. Griffs are playing a LOT better lately, and sweep theory is in play. Feels like the season's gonna end Tuesday. I read a tweet that in the last 10 years 70% of the time the team that wins the first two wins the third, so I don’t think the sweep theory matters, not sure Iona has the confidence though to win Tuesday after losing 3 in a row, if they do win they are on to semis.

Sweep theory only applies when the teams are relatively equal.

Jelly picked the wrong time to have a bad game, but he will be the 2nd best PG in the MAAC next year. It's not a coincidence Iona showed signs of life and went on their streak when jelly took over the PG spot and Van Eyck was put into the starting 5. Possibly the best if he continues to shake off the rust he put on in the Midwest. He has the talent.

We're in great shape, thanks to my lucky number seven. Consider: 1. We're seeded seventh. 2. I'm posting this on page #7 of this thread. 3. I'm posting this on the seventh of March. 4. In two years, we'll be going for our seventh straight MAAC championship. 5. There are five letters in seven. And this year we're going to Drive For Five.
As I said, we're in great shape. Or you might say, "Seventh Heaven".

How are we criticizing Jelly!? That guy is the best all around player on the team by far. Ridiculous to point blame at him IMO. Agree

Jelly’s problem is his ego. Holloway put pressure on him from the start of the game and set out to frustrate him knowing he’d hold on to the ball too long and try to force the action rather than pass and screen. It worked perfectly. Ross is out best three point threat and he hardly saw the ball. Best overall player all year WTF are you guys watching. Did you happen to notice Crawford. Without him we’re 0-20 in the league. He doesn't move, he just stands still hard to get open that way

Iona needs Jelly to be successful, for sure, but they almost won tonight despite him. He was completely selfish today and cost the team the game IMO. SPU just exposed his lack of composure tonight. He never should have come back into the game after Cashaw calmed everything down.. but Arnold.. Ironicly if Iona beats Canisius they get SPU again. When cashew plays we are 4 on 5 he doesn't and won't shoot even if he has a lay up

The Jelly argument is not even worth having. It’s pointless. If you don’t see his value or contributions on the floor then it’s useless to get into a back and forth.
He will be a first team level player next year and would be a POY caliber talent if it weren’t for Pickett.

Missed in the discussion of the SPU game was the performance of Dylan van Eyck. He played 35 minutes before fouling out and only got off three shots. But he made all three including a three pointer. In addition he was 4-4 from the foul line for 11 points, with two assists and two turnovers. On defense he had six rebounds (two offensive), a steal and four blocked shots. Overall, an excellent game.
P.S. One of the refs was Andy O'Brien. Don't have much to complain about the refs, but I believe we are 1-5 or 1-6 when he works our games.

He has an l around game.
