Kyle Franko @kj_franko · 30m In terms of coronavirus, MAAC commissioner Rich Ensor says they’re moving ahead status quo with the tournament, but would play with no fans if that what state of NJ requests.

Deep down he’s hoping the state steps in and closes the games down to the public. He is then off the hook, no accountability for poor choice in venue and low attendance.

Very true. Looks like the tournament (coronavirus or not) will be moving back to Albany.

Very true. Looks like the tournament (coronavirus or not) will be moving back to Albany. One year they need to give a NY area venue a try. Hasn't been in NYC area since 8 of teams have been within an hour and 30. I believe more people would go for the game and go home, each night. That's why Nassau was worth a try, but why lock up for multiple years, do one year and see, but its all about up front money.

Certainly worth a shot!

Saw somewhere that attendance was announced as 878. Divide that # by 4 to get actual attendance. Vendors and security staff were in disbelief.

Not fair to blame MAAC for poor attendance. Probably would have been dismal anyway, but Coronavirus impact is a major thing. Attendance has been down everywhere and/or been canceled for all type of events that require travel. Not an apples to apples comparison. Would give MAAC a free pass this year and evaluate success of decision to move to AC next year when it’s a normal year.
