Realistic. Patriot, America East, Ivy, NEC and Meac are pretty much all we are going to get to come to Hynes. Will take quantity over quality. So the highlights of the schedule are? We usually have 3 buy games I will say I have accepted the schedule but I miss playing good teams and giving our teams that one night where they could be special Example NC at MSG our last buy game win was at North Texas back in Nov 2014. Good games, but we are like 0-17 since then in buy games. Necessary evils. Love MSG games though.

Agree with this for the most part, but hoping the Pitino factor increases the ooc profile enough where home games vs A10 teams like Rhode Island, UMass, La Salle, etc... aren't out of the question. I would think that home and home agreements would be beneficial to both sides.

One thing to keep in mind as far as loading up next year's schedule. Let's be honest, it's very likely that Pitino will serve a suspension to start next year. The question is whether it's 5 games or 15 games. IF it's 15 games, that means the entire OOC schedule in which case I question if MSG, Barclay's and the big time exempt tournaments as well as HM programs will be lining up to schedule Iona if Pitino isn't on the sidelines. Something to think about. Sure Iona will hopefully have a very strong roster returning and a couple highly ranked recruits, but make no mistake , having Pitino coaching on the sidelines is the big draw. Will be interesting how it all plays out.

If it results in our winning the MAAC and getting a W at the Dance then I'm all in. Won't be able to get an answer until after the season.

I70, I hear ya about no majors on the sked, but it's Pitino's scheduling philosophy that "caused" this, with a grander plan. I will say this--it'll be nice to actually see the team play home games in November and December. Just two road OOC games is incredible--it's thinking bigger.

Our last 14 high major games (Power 6 +American) dropped 13 straight. Important games yes, (recruiting, experience, $$) but we have been a punching bag in most of those games @ Colorado -45points @ UCONN -18points N North Carolina -15points @ Providence -12points N Duke -22points @ St. Johns -10points @ Syracuse -9points N Oregon -16points @ Florida St. -21points N Iowa St. -13points @ Tulsa -9points @ Oregon St. -20points @ Arkansas -17points @ Wake Forest +4points

(I was at both!)
