This is interesting. Myers is a 6'0'' Combo guard from Christ the King. His last offer was from Temple last July. Also had quite a few MAAC offers from 7 months ago.

I love 3 point shooters and that was definitely missing from our arsenal last year

For the people that say if something happens and Pitino gets suspended it wasn't worth it, it has already been worth it in publicity. Dick Vitale tweeting our recruits, mucho time on major sports networks, back pages and the Post has had about a dozen articles.

Loving the moves early. Keeping local talent here which is great.
Keep it coming Rick.

Certainly an example of a player that we would not be landing

I like both these commits. Still need some size though.

These are great additions. But, and maybe it's my conditioning to Coach Cluess' model of recruiting, I hope the next couple are grad transfers, JUCO transfers, or transfers who might get a waiver to be eligible right away. This team, for now, is very young! I don't doubt for a moment that Coach Pitino has a plan, him being a Hall of Fame coach and all. I hope the next couple new players we hear about have some size and experience, though.

I like both these commits. Still need some size though. Simple formula talented kids want to play for Pitino because they want to their game and make money playing basketball , there’s no Better opportunity for them playing for a legendary coach!!! RP gets the best out of his players. Iona has zero chance of receiving verbal commitments from our newbies with any other coach!!! Very exciting but this is only the beginning. The best is yet to come as Dickie V said get ready for the Gonzaga or Dayton of the east.

Cluess guards McGill and Crawford were 4 yr players same formula, consistency with smalls, strong judo big men Also gist 3 yrs

I'm good with that now and in the future -- just for next season Iona will need some veterans to be successful. These first two signings are great, players Pitino will develop. Still, though, the roster needs some experience and size. The recruiting model will change in the coming years, obviously, but given the current situation Iona needs veteran talent for next season.
