Just listened to the latest episode and was impressed with the guest. Things I learned: *QS and Jenkins had good games against Temple. *While NJJ is being called the best defensive player in the MAAC, it's based on his rim protection and rebounding. The guest didn't believe that he plays with good defensive positioning. That is probably why he picks up a lot of fouls. *Still not sure why RP continues to mispronounce NJJ's name. *We know that Guy has been more conservative than most posters when it comes to Iona and W-L. When it comes to Hofstra, Guy has Iona losing and I agree. If we are able to win that game, I might be encouraged to climb on the "Optomistic" bandwagon. It is being played on a Friday night and I would expect a big crowd. Game looks very tough.
Bottom line, I enjoyed the show.

Guy's guest said that he wasn't enamored with WC, based on what he said was the few times he saw him play. And, I think it's fair to say that Walter is one of this Board's favorite players. However, while there is no doubting his 3Pt shooting or athleticism, as a freshman, he never had to do the heavy lifting required of a starting guard, since he played behind Joiner and Jolly. So, his play as a starter will go a long way in determining how well we do. Since he has all the physical tools, I think it will be his decision making that I'll be watching as at times, last year he tried to force things. I am confident that he'll continue the Iona tradition of great guards.

"...I won't be around long enough to build a Gonzaga-like program"Honeymoon over? Wow. Did you listen to the tone? It means he expects to be dead, because it took 20 years for Gonzaga to become Gonzaga.
