So, the MAAC is finally doing something useful, they are starting to air MAAC tournament games from the past decade on the "MAAC TV" portion of their site. Yes, the painful losses to St Peter's and Fairfield that started the Cluess era are there--we don't even want to think about those--but the first of Tim's 5 titles (2013) has just been posted today.
What's say we do a "live chat" and relive these championship games as they appear on the site? We can agree on a certain time, and everyone can go on and we can all rewatch the game together and discuss. I think we should do this as each championship game gets posted. It appears they've been releasing these weekly, so we'll have to wait a couple weeks before the 4-peat kicks in, but we can do a weekly chat as those are posted by the MAAC.
Let me know if you like this idea, and if so, if we should just pick a day/time and keep that as the standard for each chat (eg, we can say Wednesdays at 8 pm). We can try it with the 2013 title game and see what kind of turnout we get; if we only get a couple people we'll scrap the idea--or maybe there will just be more interest in watching the 4-peat, I don't know. Anyway, feedback is appreciated as always!
The greatest poster in the history of the MAAC as determined by THREE separate polls.
What do you guys think about doing this tomorrow night at 8? Even folks like Joebird should join this one, he can't jinx the outcome LOL
I may join at least for a bit but won’t know until last second. One of the reasons Iona won this game is I left after Sunday’s semi win over Niagara. That and my refusal to go to Albany has as much to do with Cluess’s amazing success as Cluess himself!
