Everyone who thinks that QS will start. And they might be correct, but I think that DVE will start. Even Java thinks that DVE will just be a role player. So I guess I'll ask Guy, do you think that DVE will start? And hopefully people won't say that it doesn't matter who starts but who finishes. But for people who think that it's more important (who finishes), then do you see DVE as a finisher?
I do think DVE starts, and finishes. I'm hoping I didn't confuse you by saying QS has more upside. He does, but we may not see that in year 1.
Guy, I guess you did. And with three years to play I definitely agree that QS has more upside, even if it takes some time to adjust to his new team.
As for Parker Weiss, YOU, maybe with some help from Casey Stanley, can make it happen.

I thought Myers had given a verbal to Boston College before RP brought him on board.

On the MAAC Board it has been posted, "how long will it be, before an Iona fan states that Iona's reserves are the second best team in the MAAC?" So for the very first time, I'm going with the following prediction. And I do so by first warning that the following is not suitable for all readers, and it is dependent upon that there are no further changes in the Iona roster. It is my hope that someone like Guy or sharkey will make the same argument on the MAAC Board. I can almost guarantee that not only will some fans 'lose it', but that it will make posters like MTS, Raver, Soup and Saintly, and others seem like objective posters. What follows is my forecast for the 2021-22 BB season.
1. Iona "A" team PG-Joiner OG-Jolley C--NJJ PF-DVE SF-JeanLouis
Post Season Awards-MAAC coaches decide that since the team went undefeated, it would not be fair to single out one player for POY honors. So, for the first time in MAAC history they bestow that honor on all five players.
2. Iona "B" team PG-Clayton OG-Meyers C--Shema PF-Slazinski SF-Duach
Post season awards. Sixth Man Award-Shema; Best Newcomer-Slazinski; and CO-ROY-Clayton and Duach.
3. Iona "C" team
PG-Cashaw OG-Weiss C--James PF-Brown SF-Wildy
Post season awards. Only one, and it goes to Parker Weiss as Defensive POY.
And coach Pitino finished second in the COY contest. Coaches named Coach Carm as COY as he managed to somehow escape the cellar and finished the year with only former D2 players on his roster.
P.S. And before you say it, I've already heard from many Iona fans who tell me, no way is Iona "B" better than Iona "C".
Great job ic59!! Just wait until Iona lands a stud G/F with the last scholarship and that moves one if the FR guards to the "C" team. That means Iona would have 3 of the top 5 MAAC teams. My post won't take long to make the MAAC board..lol
Unfortunately, can't give you support on the MAAC board. I deleted my account about a month ago, never to return. I can troll on that board with the best of them, but when you constantly have the same couple of idiot Siena fans (you know who you are!!) Just flat out lying about Iona recruits and falsely accusing Pitino of running off injured players i just stopped wasting my time. What's funny is Siena is about to run off a injured kid if they can get another D2 kid to commit.
On a serious note, despite losing a few kids to the transfer portal, the MAAC has recruited quite well and many teams have some seniors returning for their extra year, well except the Saints. With all their advantages and only 3 players returning their recruiting class is embarrassing.
Go Gaels (team A) Go Gaels (team B) Go Gaels (team c)

Thanks for making my day ic59..great post!!
Hope all is well Sharkey, I agree with you about the Maac board. Every board has at least 1 jerk, but the maac board has way too many psychopaths.

Thanks. To be fair, I was one of them getting caught up defending Iona over the lies they would post. Best thing I ever did was delete my account. It was getting boring "scooping" their insiders on their recruits..lol
Ic59 gave me a good idea. Since I have time until I am hopefully back home Tuesday, instead of finishing the "way too early MAAC" thread I am going to list and breakdown the MAAC recruiting classes. Yes I'm that bored! Stay tuned, I know you guys can't wait. Enjoy the great weather today!!
