I do like the song, "What a difference a day makes", but not these past 24 hours. Have to give a ton of credit to FF coach, Jay Young. His team was winless and had just suffered a beat down from Rick Pitino's team. I don't know what he told them, but it sure did work. They seemed to play with a ton of energy. Only thing I can figure it's the two bus trips that tired out the Gaels.
P.S. I know it's sour grapes, but Coach Pitino, I'd like to introduce you to the typical MAAC reffing crew.

Bench should have gotten more time on Friday to prevent exhaustion factor and to get some experience. Both, would have been helpful Saturday although I overall agree on the pg comments. I continue to be surprised by RP's remarks that "we have only one pg on the roster." We may have none.

I just saw that about Brown. Well, that sucks. Koroma and Crafoord are very young. I guess we have to hold our breath that Dylan and Nelly can stay out of foul trouble. Also, with Shema’s start date moved to February, will RP consider redshirting him? No need to red shirt Shema since its a free year. Gist we will have to agree to disagree. He's to wired to score. The ball gets in his hands and it stops. Just dribbles way too much and looks to shoot first. I agree not a PG on this team, hopefully having a few combo guards on the court at a time will be enough

Really a 40+ difference from yesterday and you think it was the refs, now we know why you would care about technical in the last 10yrs lol

I don’t think the refs are the reason we lost. In the first half they did call some bullshit fouls though. We were in foul trouble immediately which seemed to impact our defensive intensity. Still we should have overcome and won it. Last year the refs were bullshit and it could have carried over to this year. Only the second game in league play so too early to tell for sure.

After five games one thing that has impressed me is Dylan van Eyck's rebounding and passing. It has been much better than what I remembered from last season. And one thing that needs improvement is getting Berick JeanLouis involved in the offense. He had seven FG attempts in about 64 minutes of play. He's a starter, and I would hope we can find a way to get him more involved.

Youth, inexperience, and the players new to Petino philosophy of playing defense and your best point guard Meyers is a freshman (Gist is not a point and is inconsistent as a shooter). So this years team will live and die with the FG% of that given night. Sheema injury hurts the teams defensively most notably his ability to block shots, allow his teammates pressure full court and rebound. Brown unfortunately being out for the year can't help but he wasn't going to be the coaches long term answer. Chavez has been a disappointment at both ends of the court and has seen minimal quality PT.

I watched like the first 15minutes and could see they didn’t show up. Will root for any team if they are competing. If not, I’m shutting it down.

Somebody on the board pointed out we are 2-0 when Ross scores 30 and 0-3 when he doesnt. Its obvious we can lose to anybody on any particular day, good news is that the guys are gaining experience and training under Coach Pitino and staff.
