Our guys are better than 2/3rds of this league and that's mainly based on first year D1 players. Pitino positioning to steamroll the MAAC. Sounds great, but pump the brakes. We got steamrolled by Fairfield and Morgsn St this year. Flashes, but not consistent. I would not surprised if we lose by 20 tomorrow.

Good half, the potential of NJJ is unlimited. Give him a summer with Pitino and the chippys he is missing will be buckets and then we are looking at 20/10 Avg. Keeping him here for 4 years will be quite the task and it could be the nba that steals him. Wow let's not go crazy

Only 4-21 from 3 (19%)--could have been a major blowout--D played great And 10-17 from ft line

Good win, although must admit this doesn’t feel like a valid season to me quite yet. Gaels looked strong though! Let’s go for the sweep now! What is not valid, no fans?

Pitino mentions that we may have Shema back in 2 weeks. Thought this was the most significant comment in his post game interview!

Before we talk about steamrolling the MAAC, watch a replay of the SPU-Monmouth game. Both teams looked VG, and I think that Vegas would have them as favorites when we play them, even with both series at the HAC, I believe.

It won't be this year and we should expect to take a few lumps along the way.

I usually mute the games, when the announcers are annoying, so I might have missed something. But all I hear is Rick Pitino this or that, and that is certainly understandable. Also, some Jim Valvano references. But what annoys me is the lack of reference to Tim Cluess, considering his GREAT SUCCESS as an Iona coach.

Last nite the announcers mentioned the Cluess dynasty saying that Pitino would have a hard time replicating it, let alone surpassing it.

Pitino didn't press a lot last night and I'm sure that's because of last week where we pressed hard the first game and had little in the tank the following evening. I expect tonight to be different and can see us pressing at the start and continued as long as we stay out of foul trouble.
