A few people have mentioned that players have a 5th yr of eligibility. Who do you think if any Pitino will keep? Interesting to see if opinions change during the year Ross- yes he seems to improve every week. Is the type of player Pitino looks for especially if he keeps playing D. Van Eyck- probably. Perfect for Euro style. Could he play point forward? Gist- tba Does he ay the D he asks for? Does he get over recruited since this is a position Pitino keeps talking about as teams biggest need. Cashaw- I just don't see it
Any other opinions?

Email from Pitino seems to indicate that Ross & Gist will move on. DVE May return based on strength training.

Ross and Gist will move on. Van Eyck has a chance to stay. No idea on Cashaw.

He only emailed non-jinxes.

Idk why anyone would want Ross to move on. He's the best shooter in the league.

Guy is correct. Pitino had sent an email out indicating that Dylan may return for an additional year, and in the same message he said that Gist and Ross would be moving on, so I think that is the safe assumption. Not sure about Cashaw.

Does the extra year only apply to seniors, or does it apply to everyone on the roster? I thought it was looked like the 2020-21 season didn't happen.

Maybe it depends on this seasons result. Even though its said to be "up to the kids" I doubt that's really the case.

I think what he meant "it's up to the kids" is that if they want to graduate and move on that is their decision. If they want to stay well yes I would think the coaching staff could influence that if they felt it wouldn't benefit the player(or the school).

If Pitino doesn't want them they won't be back even if they wanted to. I don't know this for a fact, but it seems likely to me. I think Ross could play at a higher level. Maybe not as a starter but I think by the end of the year he has a great shot to be the POY.

The best thing for the 2 guards would be to start pro careers. The right thing to do for the program is to help them achieve their dreams of getting paid to play.
