On the MAAC Board there has been a lot of consternation when a BB magazine (Athlon)) came out and ranked all the MAAC teams, with Siena closer to last than to first. After Iona, just about everyone agreed that the race is wide open, but the magazine's prediction was just wrong, wrong, wrong. It did have Marist, FF and Quinnipiac in the top five, I believe. At this time it doesn't make much sense to rank all eleven, but the top five is possible. And I know that can be argued. So, behind Iona, I'll go with: 2. Rider 3. FF 4. SPU 5. Marist Dark Horse-Manhattan
Anyone care to make a guess?

I think your picks are pretty accurate 59. Maybe add Monmouth somewhere in the mix too.

Siena probably lost more than any other team and is relying on two higher conference players that each averaged less than 4 ppg plus a bunch of first year players. Can they be good, sure but I think there are several teams ahead of them right now. For what it's worth here are my 2-5: 2. Manhattan 3. Rider 4. Marist 5. Fairfield

I had SPU at #4 before the Ndefo news, and naturally, I feel a lot better about the pick.

Not sure how good JuJu Murray is, but, according to his HS coaches, he should do well in the MAAC, and make the Blue Ribbon people feel good about picking SPU second in the MAAC. He scored 900 points in two seasons at Cardinal Hayes. He's listed as an OG, and at 6' is small for that position. Shaheen might see him as a PG.

That blue ribbon is pretty close to what I think most of us here would have guessed. The #4 thru 8 teams could be ranked differently but I definitely agree with the top 3 here.

While it doesn't mean anything, but I was watching Sports Center, this morning, and they showed a clip from Monmouth's Men's BB practice session, of a great dunk by one of the Hawks. It was rated #7 on a Top Ten list. And I guess it does mean something for the kid throwing down the dunk.
