I had a boss that whenever I messed up would say, "What are you stupid or just Irish?" But he was the type of guy, that you could reply, "I'm stupid AND Irish, so that means I'm ready for promotion."

On the official Iona site they have Casey's Bio including a wife, Stephanie, but, no children listed. Don't know if he has children. Does anyone on this Board know, and Greg, if you reply with a Yes, please explain. Thanks.

Have the feeling some on the board know why Casey is leaving. From the outside looking in, I think it's more than wanting to go back to raise his family.
Strange that a random tweet comes out in the past reporting that Evansville associate HC Logan Baumann will be joining the Iona staff and possibly bringing Shamar Givance with him, who has now committed elsewhere.
Baumann has ties to Pitino, which likely makes him a frontrunner for the open spot? His resume isn't overly impressive and not sure about his local recruiting connections. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Most important, this works out in the best possible way for Casey and his family

But, I'll admit that it's tempting to going from being one of the dumbest people in NY to one of the smartest in Arkansas. Getting back to BB. Reference recruiting, very few players on our roster are local. More of a national/international flavor. |

He's leaving because his wife is pregnant and from Arkansas. They want to be closer to her family. It's not complicated.
