Same MAAC haters every season - MAAC sucks, teams are a joke, we have become a low mid conference, blah blah blah.
Then Iona goes out and beats a Top 20 team and SPU makes one of the deepest runs in the history of the NCAAs.

Not sure if A10 is the answer (are they interested?), but something needs to be done. After today the overall MAAC record will be 23-27, BUT 7 of those wins are vs non D1 programs. Fairfield is playing The Coast Guard 12/18. League will never improve with that type of scheduling, it gives the appearance most MAAC programs are content with where the league stands right now, which is sinking |

Too many MAAC schools have incompetent athletic administration (Siena, Marist, Manhattan for example) or have made investments in their program’s facilities but don’t have the savvy to capitalize on those improvements (Fairfield, Quinny). Throw in some shitty coaches, and you have a conference that consistently underperforms.

Any A10 consideration IMO would require a longer term commitment from/to RP as a first step.

However, my point is mainly that all the criticism the MAAC gets is a bit unjustified IMO. |

If we were to form a new conference then there would be no auto bid for 5-years. Correct? The only path to the Dance would be as an at large. A-10 would be the best scenario. How much is our athletic budget now and how much does it project to be in the A-10? Is the A-10 just a pipe dream?
