9:00am local time Let's hope the team is well rested and ready to go for this early start. They look well rested on the way to 7:15 breakfast/film session with an 8:15 departure for arena. Tournament put on a nice dinner and local entertainment event last nught. (No Don Ho!) |

Replacing who in the rotation? Starting 5; QS, Davis, Ayo, His parents were at NM and a little disappointed he saw no action--but totally understood. Thought pattern is 3 games in 4 days is a long haul and if there was one potential game for him to get extended run, this would be the game. Got it! I had a similar thought about Brookshire (sp). We really haven't seen his potential, and he's had a rough time shooting. Nice kid. |

Good point and QS is not a point 4 (like Dylan). I sense Coach Pitino has a short leash with Brookshire as he's developing a trust in his game. If he is productive, he should see extended run. |

I typically don't make predictions, but I'm feeling pretty good about this one. SMU is a fairly mediocre scoring team, and I'm expecting our defense to travel to the Pacific Plate. I'm going with a 20-point or more Iona win today, unless SMU catches some unforeseen Hawaiian-voodoo black magic offense in a bottle ;-)

I don't expect SMU to get more than 60 or thereabouts if we execute like we should defensively. I'm feeling a 15 or 20 point win (if not more), so the under seems like a reasonable wager, unless we're just scorching the nets and get up close to 90. Cover; very good chance at under.
