I kind of remember the reaction of the NC crowd to the bag pipes. Thought that pipers in Tobacco Road was a bit of a spectacle. I’m sure the pipers appeared more than once at Tourney games though. May not be able make Friday so I am being optimistic for a Sunday game too. Go Gaels Pleased to have been in Moraga to see us beat St Mary’s. Let’s win 2!

Will the Siena fans show up to root for us? Well after MTS posted his good luck to Iona here, he has trashed Iona/Pitino on the Siena board...lol Honestly don't know why he shows up here. |

Last time Gaels beat the Huskies was the 84-85 season. Looks like we beat them in a holiday tournament by 1 point. That was in the early days of the Big East before UConn was “UConn”. Hopefully history repeats itself on Friday. I was shocked we almost lost to them. |

UCONN was last in the Big East that year and was Iona’s only quality non-conference win. They lost to #2 Memphis at their place by13 points but game was closer than the score. |

Matt, Tom and staff working their asses off right now juggling two teams headed to the dance plus normal athletic department duties. Appreciate their tireless efforts and hope they can get some sleep in April. |
