Tom Moran should be sending out a communication at some point today. Matt, Tom and staff working their asses off right now juggling two teams headed to the dance plus normal athletic department duties. Appreciate their tireless efforts and hope they can get some sleep in April. Amen! |

I have a feeling the team will play well, dont know what outcome will be, but we wont be unprepared. |

I’m unable to attend the game on Friday, but will certainly be looking for a spot to watch in NYC. Does anyone know a good Iona bar in the city where a bunch of Iona fans go? Or any recommendations for that matter is awesome. Let’s go Gaels, let’s get this thing done. This is the team to pull off the upset. Cannot wait for Friday.

Don't like that Uconn lost in the first round last 2 years. Will have them extra focused. Then again we have lost last 13 times, so maybe we will be the one Extra, Extra focused!!

I think we will keep this competitive and give ourselves a chance late to pull off the upset. Expect UCONN to attack our bigs and try to get them in early foul triple, knowing that we have a light bench. I have a feeling Davis might give us a few minutes this game.

Any chance that Cruz Davis will be able to play? Pitino said his injury is more psychological at this point. They've done two MRI's and found no tear in his achilles I believe. Just a matter of whether Davis trusts playing on it. |

I was shocked we almost lost to them. I remember the game was on the schedule and not a tournament. UCONN was last in the Big East that year and was Iona’s only quality non-conference win. They lost to #2 Memphis at their place by13 points but game was closer than the score. I remember attending this game at Hartford Civic Center. We did not play great but clearly were the better team. It may have been Jim Calhoun's first year |

All the good Iona bars have closed 91 like Keats (45 & 2nd) & Ryan Mcfaddens( 42 & 2nd) You can try the White Horse tavern on Bridge street or the Irish Punt on Exchange Place downtown. |
