Regardless if Anderson is the guy this is not a respectable staff for this level. It just isn’t. Bingo. Reputation is everything in recruiting. We don’t want NEC players or D2 players…just to be clear. FDU struck gold with those players and I enjoyed every second - but that ain’t working 99% of the time. If these assistants are Xs and Os guys / scout guys, great. However, we need a recruiter of the level of players we are used to… Cluess came out of Div 2 and hired an assistant who had one big recruit to his name while an assistant at Fordham and then as an interim head coach. They did pretty well together. Let's see the whole staff before we rush to any judgement. |

He says his goal is to go to the sweet 16. He’s not going to be content just winning the MAAC. |

Guys... Tobin Anderson is not coming here to sit back and enjoy the ride. This guy is as competitive as any coach I have seen. He would rather cut his hand off than lose. For the love of God, give the guy a chance. His style is one that embraces the better points of both Cluess and Pitino.
I want to make it perfectly clear, I have seen this guy coach live in almost three dozen games and I have never seen him blow a game due to his refusal to play people or managing the bench or the game. When Siena fired Mitch I told them they were stupid if they did not hire him... to a man the Siena fans have admitted that I was right.
This guy is a great coach. He wants to win and he even beat us out for a recruit, Osbel Caraballo, who we offered and would have easily played at Iona. He recruits junk yard dogs and players who shoot the three. His teams were fun to watch and press like crazy.
Let's see how he fills out his roster.

And Anderson can’t help the fact that one of the greatest coaches of all time recruited great players and then bolted at the earliest opportunity. He’s going to have to rebuild but “all we are saying is give Anderson a chance” |
