there is a lot to like from the highlights. I would love to see the last spot go to someone who is 6'10" or taller.

On the MAAC Board it was pointed that he had interest/offers about eight months ago, but no recent activity. No idea, if that is true.

I could be wrong, we always had trouble getting kids from that school The last Monroe player we got was Randy Desouvre. Their kids used to come up to Iona and play in open gyms with our guys. Their coach, Jeff Brustad, has been there 20 years, so I doubt he soured on Iona as his job is to win but to get as many players as he can to Div 1. Jeff Brustad has done a great job with the program going 529-152 (.777). I know at one time they had a few players we were interested in like Orlando Sanchez (★★★★ who ended up at SJU) and a 3 ball shooter from France named Marc Bourgault that also ended up at SJU. That team also had a kid named Maurice Ndour that we showed interest in, he ended up at Ohio and in the G League for the Knicks. We also offered Will Tavares (Fordham), Joel Angus III (Hofstra), so we have recruited players from Monroe. |

That's a problem with old age, you forget things. And speaking of forgetting things, I'm still hoping that you'll let us know who you think will be our best player/players this season. |

If that is his real Twitter handle he never posts anything about basketball. He retweeted this from Coach T, but it did not originally come from him. Coach T apparently coaches at Lakeland CC in Ohio, but I checked through rosters and does not appear that this kid played there, though you can never be sure. Maybe a fake pic? |

Though looking at his picture, it might be the JUCO kid that committed to Iona not to long before Pitino was hired,but the staff wasn't interested and offer was pulled. The last name Brown comes to mind. |

Mystery solved, the player signed with Iona back in 2020. Wild, the coach is using Brown's commitment picture from Iona to draw interest.
