Former FDU Commit following Tobin to Iona. Here's a recent article when he committed to FDU. “Jean’s story is amazing,” said SCA head coach Joan Sanchez. “He came to us at Upper Room as a freshman and a month and a half in lost his dad. From there, he was part of a team that won back to back Power 5 AA Championships. Jean is a tireless worker and leader. His relentless on-ball defense characterizes who he is as a player.” “Coach Anderson’s philosophy of high intense pressure defense and fast paced offense fits him so well. Off the court, Jean had a 3.4 GPA and has excelled in community service helping our nonprofit Ensueno Hoops. A joy to coach and a program kid who will empower the culture at FDU. Jean is a true success story, I am extremely proud of him.” newenglandrecruitingreport.com/in-the-news/aranguren-chooses-fdu

DPOY in his league, words like "relentless" and "toughness" popping up. Based on numbers I've seen he's one of those guys who fills stat sheet. UMBC and BU were his other options when he committed to FDU.

That's good to read. He looks decent in those highlights. Looks like he fits the Anderson system. Also he probably has a chance to have major upside based on he isn't originally from this country. I trust Anderson. We are going to have to get use to not being involved in the same type of players we were, but even under Pitino we never really got the top 100 or so player we thought we may, though we did get close to that.

We have to remember that we've all proven to know zippo re the quality of recruits. We always think so and so is gonna be a star and so and so doesn't look good, and then once we're actually in games it's the presumed stiff that's part of our rotation and the presumed star being shipped out after the season ends.

Seems like a start and realistically the 4 & 5 stars aren’t coming to the MAAC HOF Pitino didn’t get them. So if you find quality kids that will run through the wall to win certainly makes the team not only fun to watch but extremely competitive in our league. Saying all that still going to need some bigs that can play a little and that’s usually the hardest to get in the MAAC

Truth is if these 2 kids were not previously committed to FDU, they would both be considered solid MAAC recruits, especially being the first 2 of what would likely be at least a 10 man class.
Staff is tracking some interesting big kids. At all levels..HS/JUCO/Transfer.
Would be nice to know what Shema, Sunday and Ibine-Ayo are planning. With the staff now officially announced and back on campus, would expect some news soon
