Maybe the new commish is hoping to retake Monday night. It will be a Saturday night. 8 days before selection Sunday, better than past but not the Monday night where everyone watches. At least not competing with big east. |

At least not competing with big east. What I meant was putting it on that weekend is a first step... it may take a few years, if at all... I don't see what was lost easily recovered. |

Dumb mistakes aside, I would think that ESPN has some say in whether we are able to move it back to Monday. Might not be as easy as a simple conference decision.

Although we do not know the exact date of Iona's first game, today is exactly the mid point <117 Days> from Iona's last game on 3/17 and the opening of the college hoops season on 11/6.

I have encouraged Athletics & Advancement to sponsor some related activities/events to attract the Florida bluehairs, especially the Naples crowd. Site (RSW airport) is very accessible via non-stop from White Plains/LaGuardia/JFK. Great rates now ($218 RT)--but that's Thanksgiving week, so expect them to soar beginning in September. |
