So with the roster additions, and possible departure of Krystkowiak, here's a look at what would be the '24 roster, as well as '24 recruits
Quigley 5'11 Soph Aranguren 6'4 Soph Bates 6'5 Soph Adewale 6'8 Soph Saunders 6'8 Soph Farias Aybar 6'3 Soph Brice 6'6 Jr Gordon 6'5 Sr
Menard 6'4 Fr Hovarth 6'9 Fr
Leaves 3 open scholarships Williams 6'5 GR possible covid year
Ryan Williams 6'4 official visit 9/1-2 Ty Bevins 6'5 official visit 9/5-6 Kris Johnson 6'4 official visit, no date
Malik Abdullahi 6'8 top 5 list
IF Williams uses covid year that leaves 2 scholarships. Does Tobin take 2 more FR recruits? Does he hold one for the transfer portal? Of course that's if everyone returns, which isn't likely

Iona makes another top 5 cut list. Adding Ty Bevins and Malik Abdullahi to already committed Justin Menard and Jacob Hogarth would be quite the '24 recruiting class

I favor the presumed three spots go to experienced players in the portal. An excellent freshman recruit would change my opinion obviously but I don't anticipate that happening.

Hard not to take both Bevins and Abdullahi if they want to commit. IF Iona pulls that off, that leaves 1 scholarship. Possible Terrell Williams could come back for covid yr and take final scholarship, but would provide that experienced player. Iona would be incredibly young with 6 sophomores and 4 freshmen. Couple points: -would be a very young but talented Frontcourt 6'8 Saunders 6'8 Adewale 6'7 Abdullahi 6'9 Hogarth No problem having those 4 rotate between PF/C and still have guys like Brice, Gordon and Williams play some PF. -Point Guard Quigley would be only true PG on roster. Possible staff believes Aranguren can play PG. Pretty sure his HS/AAU coach said he played PG on Guy's podcast. Guy would have a better feel as he actually watched him in practice. Having said this, we all know that there's a very good chance 1-2 kids will transfer, with so many players fighting for PT. Tobin will figure it out

He looks thrilled to be in Oxford. I don't know anyone who is happy in Ohio. We have a guy who posts on this Board and uses Iona BB games as an excuse to leave the state. Or so I've heard.
