Because I am the closest thing we have to a regular beatwriter, and unlike paid journalists I'm a fan first, and it doesn't benefit the team in any way to share info that isn't doled out officially. Understand but it’s been like this for 40 years! Haven't had a regular, dedicated beat writer EVER. |

Rarely went on the road and didn't regularly do traditional things like game preview pieces or off-day stories. And they certainly never had regular info re injuries etc. |
