Farias is gone. No details given, other than it didn't work out, sounds like for multiple reasons. So, another ship for next year. Who was that young buckaroo about two doors down from Saunders on the best. Perhaps a walk on I missed. The kid was in uniform. I think you are referring to Rohan Chappali, a walk-on.

Brown will likely be top 15 or better in country A/TO 3.79. His growing offensive contributions are a +.

Some thoughts about Sultan and Williams.
Sultan will improve as years go on with his offensive game, but teams clearly know he will turn it over once passed to him. He needs to be setup for success. Get it to him where he can simply turn and shoot. Don't hold the ball! Happened multiple times yesterday and he was double teamed right away.
Williams was forcing things. He needs to just go to the hoop and use his athleticism. I was hoping he was going to be an X factor for this team after those encouraging games. His athletic ability is above typical MAAC level.

Personally thought this was our best all around game since the opener at Charleston, oddly enough. Hopefully we’ve turned a corner! Onto quinnipiac

Movement without the ball in the half court offense was much better. Let’s keep it up. Joel Brown has impressed. He has some holes in his offensive game, but his quickness and aggressiveness driving to the hoop are so important. Love that he drained a 3 also.

Good points on latest posts. Tretout not making turnovers, Brown’s improved play, especially driving to the basket, Gordon not fouling, Panzo making 3’s and coming off the bench, Aranguren starting, more sharing of the ball, a tighter rotation and lastly Shema getting healthy; have all added up to a much improved team the last 2 games.

Agree re Sully. Re Williams, I think he's still shaking off the rust. Let's see where he's at after a couple more games.

A nugget from Tobin AFTER the presser ended:
"LedgeLife. I hate that term."

Under the radar, some good, some not so good: *Our leading rebounder GG had 8 boards in 30 minutes. *Our second leading rebounder, Sultan Adewale, had 7 in 14 minutes. *MAAC rebounding leader, Frank Mitchell had 17. *We shot 66.7 from the foul line, about our average. *Next opponent, Quinney shot 77.8. *While, I'd like to think that forcing 19 TO's was great, we probably have to give Canisius some credit. *Not to be greedy, but I believe the TV announcer said we were scoreless in the final 3+ minutes. *We have two lefty shooters, but it seems to me that they shoot a lot with their right hand. Anyone else think that way? *Back to back home games with about 1400 fans with the weather playing a big part. Next home game is February 2nd against FF and with decent weather hoping for 2400. *Wish we had stats on missed close in (bunnies?) shots. Also shot clock violations, along with forced shots to avoid a SC violation.

A nugget from Tobin AFTER the presser ended: "LedgeLife. I hate that term." I would think every coach hates it. Unfortunately, there’s no denying it’s existence for every team in every sport.

A nugget from Tobin AFTER the presser ended: "LedgeLife. I hate that term." Geez, I wonder who started using the term on the board…. I think I know 😉

I think I know 😉 Broguy was the first to use "ledge" and "life" in the same sentence on this board, back in 2018. But Iona fans "on the ledge" on this board dates back a good 15 years. I even tweeted about this in 2010:
