Trey Lewis - 6'4" CG out of Cardinal Hayes and NY Gauchos AAU. Recently dropped 17 points on Iona Prep including the game winning shot, dropped 15 points on a very good CTK squad. Is averaging 14. points as a sophomore. He is very athletic, has an avery good handle, gets to the hoop and can hit the 3. He is a hustler who is very hard working and is always playing hard. How this kid does not have at least a 3 star rating at this point is puzzling. Tons of potential.
Offers: Northern Illinois Interest:
Ratings: ESPN: NR Rivals: NR 247: NR On3:NR
Scouting Report:
Lewis is one of the more dynamic athletes that the CHSAA has to offer. He’s active on the defensive end on and off of the ball. He stays quick to loose balls. Lewis rebound on the offensive end and collects put backs multiple times in a game. He has great open floor speed and is a quick to change ends and push the ball down the other teams end feverishly in an instant. Lewis was able to play above the rim on multiple occasions due the other teams mistakes which he played a hand in causing. Lewis also made good decisions in transition, at times finding open teammates- RipandGoHoops- Jan 14, 2024

I believe the last guy from Hayes---showing my age--Jim Knight and maybe Harry Hart. Great offer by our staff! On the road selling Iona University. Lets hopefully close the deal with a commitment. Coach Al

I know over the years we've offered many CH players, but without success. What was most frustrating about that was that one of our greatest financial supporters, Jim Hynes (HAC), was a Hayes grad and one of their top contributors.

Karson Thomas - 6'4" SG/SF out of Lincoln Way East HS (Chicago area) and Midwest Renegades AAU.
"After emerging as one of the best players in the area this high school season, Thomas looks primed to be one of the breakout players of the spring and summer. He’s an electric athlete that gets off of the ground in a hurry and with force. Any straight-line drive or cut ended in impressive fashion for him, sometimes doing so in traffic. Outside of the ideal physical traits, Thomas was making sound reads as a primary playmaker to identify mismatches, find open shooters, and make drop off passes when he got inside. Thomas has great lift and balance as a jump shooter that allows him to stop on a dime and get into his shots from tough angles. He’s got a chance to be a special player in the 2026 class." - Illinois Hoop Prospects - MARCH 31, 2024

Jordan Williams - 6'6" SF/PF out of Fremd HS (Schaumburg, IL) and Midwest Renegades AAU. In HS he averaged 17.1 pts, 7.4 reb and 3 assists.
"Williams was one of the more talented wings I saw all day. Big, strong, athletic, and versatile at 6-foot-6, Williams is a player who poses a mismatch for most players at the 16U level. A lot of his damage came off of face-ups where he was able to take a few hard dribbles and elevate for layups or pull-ups. He pushed off of misses in transition like a guard and rebounded outside of his area with a sense of urgency. There is a lot to like about his defensive profile as well, moving well side to side and having the length and recovery speed to really affect actions. Williams is a budding Division 1 prospect in the class." - 2024 Spring Showcase Standouts - Illinois Hoop Prospects - MARCH 31, 2024

Jayon is Jazz Gardner's brother--possible package deal on the way? That's what I was thinking as well. Good chance imo.

Jayon is Jazz Gardner's brother--possible package deal on the way? A little history. Speaking of package deals, there was a 'package' store right outside of the main Iona entrance on North Ave. Breese and Martin's liquor store. And, now you know the rest of the story.
