Just another point about Oz. This year, as far as I know, Oz has been played strictly as a center. In prior years Nelly has been the center with Oz the PF. While, I can't believe that TA would play Adewale and Shema at the same time, because of potential foul trouble, later in the game (fouls permitting) I hope that they can play at the same time. Think that this would really help Shema.
If Adewale was ready this would make sense. To me, he clearly isn't. Spot duty would be best for Adewale, although we may need him for a little more than that.
I would like to have seen this tried For a few minutes in one of the last few games and possibly even now. Who knows maybe it brings out last years Shema. The current team needs some shake ups, it needs a wrinkle or two to help facilitate the miracle we need.

greg, prior to Senior Day, Adewale has been our starting center, going back five games. He is limited offensively but contributes on the boards. His presence, imo, would free up Oz to play in the high post or outside. I feel confident if both were in the game at the same time, Oz's scoring would go up.

Take it one game at a time of course, but I don’t like that Fairfield is in our bracket after we beat them twice during the regular season. Very hard to beat a team three times in one season!

I'm a firm believer in this theory. But honestly, this season it's very hard to beat a team once, especially now without Gordon. Maybe it works in reverse? It's in Fairfield's head about losing to Iona, and all of the pressure is on them.
A quarterfinal loss after finishing 2nd would be a massive failure on their part.
But, first things first, have to beat Manhattan. Iona didn't play well in either game vs Jaspers

Fairfield just took interim tag off Chris Casey. IMO, our chances of winning a quarterfinal against them just went up. But we've got to survive tonight first.

Agreed, even more pressure on Fairfield in MAAC tournament.
Surprised they made this move. IMO, Had to do a real search with Casey being the one to beat.

Never heard what coach Young did on the overseas preseason trip that got him fired.

Supposedly an assistant got involved with a hooker during their summer trip, Young involved with some type of cover-up, and when shit hit the fan the assistant threatened to expose some dirt. So Fairfield had no choice but to clean house. Sounds like a real life soap opera

Hofstra beat Stonybrook at home and away. Third time was a charm for Stony brook in the Caa semifinal on a neutral court
