Yep can't wait for the 8th ivy game Ivy 15th ranked conf, Maac 27th. Cornell has a better Kenpom than 12 of 13 Maac teams. One of my granddaughters goes to Vanderbilt a VG and wealthy school. So, I follow thier athletic teams. But, other than baseball they have not been good in football and basketball, until this year when their FB team defeated Alabama and their basketball team, as of a day or so ago, is undefeated. And, now I read that the Ivy League is ranked 15. Are we seeing the effects of NIL? |

Last I checked, Cornell was about a 2 point favorite tonight.

Tidbits
* I'll start by wishing everyone Happy Thanksgiving, and for those traveling to the Bahamas for the games, safe travel and enjoy the weekend regardless of the W-L.
* And I'll ask that you say a prayer for TA who has only enjoyed success in his coaching career before arriving in New Ro. Hopefully, he'll figure it out. Fingers crossed.
* But there is no denying that these are dark times for Gael BB. And it brings me back to the early forties and WWII. If there is one positive about this team, it is their fighting spirit. They remind of a Winston Churchill speech in rallying his troops. "We shall fight on the beaches, and on the fields, we shall never surrender". And, eventually, the song,"When the lights go on again all over the world, and the boys came home again, all over the world", was being sung by Vera Lynn. I know it's an over dramazation (Sp?), but I have faith in their never give up style of play.
* I feel I owe JoJo Wallace an apology, for urging that he gets more PT. Heard last night thay he was being considered to be a starter as the coaches wanted to shake up the lineup. But one of the team's managers was reading this Board and read that he can't defend. And the coaches decided that they couldn't risk playing someone who can't defend and we give up a ton of open three's. Thus, no PT for JoJo. Sorry about that.
* Still think we're better off with a small lineup, and feel confident we go with three guards in the Baha Mar tourney.
* The advantage of being around for a long time, is that you get to experience good times and bad. And, the bad times make you enjoy the good all the more.

Sheesh - Watching Fordham and they look worse than us. Maybe they can rejoin us in some league lower than the MAAC?
