This makes the Princeton loss suck more. Coulda been 1-1 heading into the home opener. Instead 0-2 los in on Tobin!! The press is not working, giving up too many lay-ups. I hope he doesn't lose this team like last year Another great coached game by Tobin. A waste of time watching this mess. Stop pressing when you give up 5 lay ups in a row. |

Ugly game. Very undisciplined. Patterson has 10 turnovers this year. They look unprepared and unable to make in game adjustments

Team plays very tough and hustles. Has lots of athletes but Tobin may have gone with too many dogs, needs more offensive skilled guys.
The fouls and easy layups can’t happen again all season. Team can not be successful with either of those.
This team is as good as any in the maac, but we are looking at 4-7 in ooc. Maac tourney a crap shoot, we will have better odds than most but it won’t be easy to dance.

Team needs to learn to play together... Agree, but they have a long way to go. Team plays hard and looks 75% junk yard dog. I like their ceiling. |

Lots of mistakes but that is expected at this point in the season with a completely revamped roster. As for the coaching... there is a reason Tobin gets paid for it and we don't. Tobin knows what he needs to do to get the team ready for conference play. I hope to see improvements each game going forward. I have faith in this team and the staff.

I had a good time tonight meeting up with some friends I hadn't seen in a bit.
Nice effort there to cut it to 6 with under 10. That frustration offensive foul on Rupert really ended that run.
Wish Iona can get guys like Cruz Davis.
Last thought, please please please stop pressing so much.

Disappointing performance but we have to put it in context; this is very early.
1. We have good athletes.
2. This team plays hard and has heart.
3. I think they will gel.
4. Our press was a negative, especially in the first half where Hofstra torched us with 10 to 12 easy points breaking our press and hitting the hanger for a layup.
5. We came back a bit in the second half but far to big a lead to overcome:
6. We missed a lot of open shots.
7. I think better times are ahead this season as the team gets used to playing together.
Hofstra’s facility is nice. Their campus, at least the part we drove through, is very drab.
