This from a blog called "Parsing the WAC" and HS Coach Jon Wyer * George McGrew 6-foot-8, 225, forward, Antelope Valley College (haven't seen a lot of him) He also redshirted last year. Seemed to be a very strong and athletic traditional post who is a banger. He can muscle his way and score around the basket and is a good rebounder. Seems to be a very hard working blue collar type player. Haven't seen enough of him to know if he is a D-1 talent. parsingthewac.blogspot.com/2010/09/coach-jon-wyers-on-some-socal-junior.html

Guess they had to go 6'8" to make up for the 6'6" guy.

I've lost track of how many new kids we have that are 6-6 and up coming in for next season, but the bottom line is that if even half of them come in and contribute something more than garbage time, that would be a good percentage and it would make us bigger and more athletic than we were a year ago.

We cannot heve enough of those good 6'6"-6'8" athletic guys to supplement our stellar returning backcourt in 11/12. BTW, Glover is no way NBA material being an undersized power forward without a perimeter game.

Guy, five new "bigs" Anacreon - 6'7 Moikobu - 6'7 Ridley - 6'7 Gomez - 6'9 McGrew - 6'8

We probably need just 1 of these 5 to be a big contributer in the front court, one to contribute and another to be able to step in if there is foul trouble, injury etc. 2 of these guys will probably not play much at all in 11/12.
I have never seen any of these guys play but guessing from what I read Diggs will contribute most, Ridley will be next , however more as a swing man and Anacreon or Mcgrew will be the one who sees some time.
The back court I feel will be one of the best in all of mid major basketball. The front court will be fine as long as Glover remains healthy and out of foul trouble. If something happens to Glover this team will have major trouble against anyone with any size.
One thing I know is not too many mid majors can say they have two of the best players in the country and both are Seniors. That alone makes next years prospectus very optimistic.
