As we enter into the real part of the MAAC schedule, it might be fun to speculate on the end of the year awards. Here is how I see it.
ROW: Candidates, imo, include; Green (NIA); Lewis (MAR); Morton (MAR); Hymes (SIE); Mason (NIA) and Heath (CAN). Green, who is averaging over 19 PPG, seems a lock, but all are great additions to their teams.
POY: Candidates: Machado; Glover; Sanders (FF); Beamon (MAN); Anosike (SIE); Green (NIA); and Cormier (LOY). As an Iona fan, I'm rooting for both Gaels to share the award, because they compliment each other so well. I'm not sure the voters would agree with me, and a lot depends on how the teams finish. Green, being a freshman, is probably eliminated even if leads the MAAC in scoring. It's probably a three person race and I'm guessing Machado as it is a guard driven league, but Sanders and Mike will make it a tough call. Will Scott and Mike split the vote allowing for Sanders to win? It will come down to how the teams finish in the regular season.JMO. What do you think?

Still premature, but I don't think there's ever been a Co-POY in the MAAC.
Anyway, at this point I'd call it a toss up between Glove and Scott as both have garnered national attention . Glove - national POW and Scott as a Cousy Award candidate (and I expect him to be one of the finalists).
If we win, Cluess will be COY with some well-deserved consideration given to Masiello.
This all is, of course, based upon the current trend continuing.
