The game is a 9 pm start because of ESPNU, for those who aren't aware.
Due to the late start, the Goal Club reception will be BEFORE the game, starting at 8 pm. There will still be the poolside halftime reception.
If anyone is interested, I'm going to the Beechmont somewhere around 6:30-7. Please let me know if you're planning on joining, as I'll get a suitable table if possible. I already have 1-2 fans joining me there.
Final housekeeping note: for those who don't know, our home game vs Rider on 1/20 is a 10 pm start--no, not a typo. The Goal Club reception that night will get underway at 9.
Now, to the matter at hand, Friday's game itself. We destroyed them up there, but they are playing better and have a slightly different look about them now. I still expect to win without sweating, but don't expect the 36-point beatdown we saw up in Lewiston.

If not the 36 point beatdown we gave them up in Lewiston, then should we expect a 36 point beatdown that we gave to Siena? JN has the spread at 21.5 points. Game is a chance to see the MAAC ROY, Green, plus Josh Turner, who we thought we had, plus New Ro native Antoine Mason.

I am a little apprehensive after our overwheming victory Wednesday night. Over-confidence...... in other words. You can bet the house the Purple Eagles are going to start the game in a man to man defense (contain Armand).

I could be wrong but I'm expecting a fast paced game. JAM is the type of coach who plays the way he plays and is not worried about the final score. He's trying to teach his young players how to play tough, physical transition basketball. No more no less.

Tau--kudos to you for your early on descriptions of Armand's impact on the program! Shooters are hard to come by in todays game, we got a few. Armand being top notch. Todays game is all athletic potential, less focus on basics and fundamentals. Armand could have got discouraged with the addition of Momo and lack of minutes and quick hook from Cluess. But this kid keeps coming at you, hes going to be a star. Great face of Iona basketball, hes the future

Super, I guess he earned it. But when his shot isn't falling, he doesn't (as of yet) bring much to the table. Kyle's game is much more complete, but he's in a terrible shooting slump. I'm hoping that Kyle starts on Sunday and Sean comes off the bench. Thought that Diggs played well and should have earned himself more PT. Am worried about Rashard James. Is there a reason his PT is so limited? Joe Mihalich has four VG freshmen and the team will be tough by the season's end, imo. And even more so next year.

ic59-Agree with your analysis-Kyle is the more complete player now. I do think Sean has picked up some defensive intensity and has gotten to the boards more. If he ever gets a good fake and drive move, he'll be a top calibre MAAC guard in the next 2 years.
