We know what to expect from the reliable Glove, Scott, Momo and many other guards. If Taj can get consistent and be a rebounding force, the Gaels can be a very, very good team.
He needs to protect Glover from fouls and play to his maximum capability. We can afford to have Armand or Kyle cold some nights, but in order to beat good teams we must have help from a big man for Glover. We can talk about team rebounding all you want, but Taj needs to play more games like he did against Loyola.

Taaj had a good DEFENSIVE second half vs Loyola--IMO his best defensive half of the season. We need that from him as well. Wan Taaj is playing some D and rebounding, Iona is a top 25 team--it's that simple.

If Taj contributes 10 & 10 each game, while controlling his emotions, Iona is in good shape.
Momo may have played his best game yesterday as on this Iona team he is almost unstoppable if he drives to the basket or pulls up for a short jumper. Yesterday he was 10 for 15 with only 1 taken and missed 3-pointer while against Manhattan he was only 3 for 9 overall and 1 for 5 in 3-pointers.
And I would congratulate Trinity Fields who came in contributed 4 minutes of mistake-free basketball off the bench.
Now if Randy, Diggs, Gomez and James only can realize that the coaching staff is putting them in games. . .to defend, rebound and for easy put backs (and not outside shots) we might become unstoppable.
